2026 Canadian Masters Weightlifting Championships

Canada’s premier national championship for Masters athletes returns in 2026. Join competitors from across the country for three days of high-level competition.

Event Overview

The 2026 Canadian Masters Weightlifting Championships brings together Masters athletes from across Canada to compete under the most recent IWF and IMWA rules.

This competition is open to current WCHM members and adaptive athletes. The qualifying period runs from June 30, 2025 to May 24, 2026.

Competition sessions will take place over three days, with awards presented to the top three athletes in each category, along with overall best male and female athletes. Medals and awards will not be mailed.

Preliminary Competition Schedule

The following schedule outlines the planned competition days by age category:

Friday, June 19

  • Men 85+ to 60
  • Women 85+ to 55

Saturday, June 20

  • Men 55 to 45
  • Women 55 to 45

Sunday, June 21

  • Men 40 to 30
  • Women 40 to 30

Please note: All dates are tentative and subject to change. Age categories may shift between days. Athletes are encouraged to allow ample travel time.

Registration

Registration for the 2026 Canadian Masters Weightlifting Championships is open from March 1 to May 24, 2026.

Athletes must complete registration through the official Race Roster event page. All eligibility and qualifying requirements apply.

Event apparel is available by pre-order during registration only and will not be available for purchase at the competition.

The 2026 Canadian Masters Weightlifting Championships will be held at:
